Dear Yana, I am sorry to hear about the little problem between your father and the lockup cell he is in right now.

Please be rest assured that the Malaysian people think Dato Seri Najib all the time. I, for one, think about your father constantly even before the GE.

When the news broke that your dad received RM2.6B into his personal bank account, I was rather shell shocked and for the next few days, it was all I could think of.

How much was 2.6 Billion if it’s in cash? Will it fill up my entire  house to the roof?

How many schools can we build with it?

How many poor families can we feed for Raya?

How many mosques, temples and churches can we build?

How about hospitals?

Perhaps i would say about 100 decently sized hospitals all around the country, I debated myself.

Then another big news broke – the US Department of Justice decided that your dad was behind it all.

Approximately USD 4.5 B, it said. Our country’s money.. the people’s money… gone.. just like that. I had your father in my mind for almost 2 whole weeks.Again,

I thought a lot about your father then.

What has he to hide?

Why was he afraid of a 93-yr old man?

Why was he doing all those things to my friends?

Can we forget about your grand wedding, Yana?  The one where just the flowers alone cost RM 3 Million?

I was thinking that your father must have gone a bit nuts with that. How many orphans can we feed with the flower money, I wondered.

When your father lost the election a couple of months back, all that Malaysians talked about was Najib this and Najib that for the following 2 weeks.

Lastly, how can we all forget the sight of the orange boxes being carted away from Pavillion residences?

You know, the one that had 500 designer bags?

How about the 72 luggage bags containing cash, jewelry and watches?

Malaysians were thinking quite a fair bit about Dato Seri Najib back then too.

So you see, Yana, you really needn’t bother to tell us to think about Najib this one time.

We think about Najib ALL THE TIME.
