Egyptian police have arrested two Christian children, 10 year old Nabil Rizk 9 year old Mina al-Farag after a Muslim man accused the two of desecrating the Qur’an in a small village in the Nile Delta region
The children face charges for allegedly urinating on the Quran and then putting it next to a mosque, al-Shorouk newspaper reported.
Nabil’s father said that his child cannot read or write and had been looking in the trash “for something useful” when he found a small bag with pages from the Qur’an so he took them and placed it next to a mosque as he did not know what to do with it.
According to Copts United, a Christian news organization and website, the families of the two boys are urging rights groups and organizations to help them free the children and to “have mercy” on them.

Till och med om man håller med om att det ska vara straff för skändande av en bok, så måste väl brottet vara att slänga skiten bland avfallet.
