Grekisk-ortodoxa Bishop, Metropolit Seraphim i Pireus har uppmanat Turkiets president Recep Tayyip Erdogan att konvertera till den ortodoxa kristendomen, med Rysslands president Vladimir Putin som sin gudfader.

I ett 37-sidor långt brev till Erdogan skriven på grekiska, uppmanar Metropolit Seraphim den turkiska ledare att lämna sin islamiska tron och döpas i det ekumeniska patriarkatet i Konstantinopel.

”Om du vill rädda dig själv och din familj bör du konvertera till den grekisk-ortodoxa kyrkan, den enda verkliga tron” skriver Seraphim i brevet till Eerdogan.
”Vi rekommenderar dig att komma till den grekisk-ortodoxa kyrkan före slutet av ditt liv på jorden. ”Annars kommer du tyvärr att hitta dig själv, din familj och ditt folk på samma plats där Allah, Muhammed och hans anhängare är, det vill säga, i helvetet och utsatta för ett oändligt lidande.”
Han uppmanar Erdogan att ”ångra, gråta, vara ödmjuka och tro på Kristus” och hävdar att ”den heliga Treenighetens Gud öppnar armarna för dig”. Om Erdogan lyssnar till Metropolit råd, säger han att de ortodoxa troende på jorden och änglarna i himlen kommer att jubla, efter att Erdogan bytt till den sanna kyrkan!”
FjärranÖsternRedaktören tycker att det är en bra ide, som den Svenska ärkebiskopen borde ta efter, men i större skala. Ärkebiskopen borde snarast starta ett storskaligt program för att försöka omvända de i Sverige boende muhammedanerna till den kristna tron. Den muhammedanska läran passar dåligt in i civiliserade samhällen!
